Introducing me

I wanted to start this blog of with saying something like “I found it very appropriate to begin this blog with introducing myself” but I would be lying if I did. I got this idea from a colleague and the thought of being known and just being myself on a public platform makes me cringe. However, I want to build this relationship based on honest so here goes.

My name as you can all probably see is Melody Sithole. I was born and raised in Odendaalsrus. I went to Odensia Primary School, Wessel Maree High School and then found myself at the North-West University in Potchefstroom. University was the first time that I was ever truly away from home. I won’t lie though, it was the best and the worst time of my life, it is a difficult time when you are learning to find independence and being disciplined. It is, however, the best time of your life when you do find a balance.

I have always wanted to be become a lawyer, even before I knew what that meant. My parents, entire family and friends have always addressed me as either Advocate or Justice Sithole and the feeling I got from that I could never compare to anything. I am finally at a place where I am closer to my dreams and aspirations, and I have to say that I am not disappointed at all.

I am happy that I went through everything that I had to go through. Blessed to have had the educators that I have had, even the strict ones because they knew what I was too young to understand then.

As cheesy as it might sound, I guess it is safe to say that I have always known God’s purpose for my life, and I am happy to be in it at this moment.
