Hi there, I’m Crystelle and I was born and raised in Welkom in the Free State.

I’ve been wanting to become a lawyer since I was a little girl.  Growing up, my mom (being a bookkeeper at a Law Firm) on many occasions took me to work with her. I remember so well sitting and watching in awe as Lawyers walked in and out to court with their black gowns on.

As I got older I became fascinated with crime series and books. I then used to work during holidays at the Law firm and was able go with Lawyers to court and watch as they take on cases and fight for their clients in court. That was when my love for Criminal law started.

After completing my LLB degree, I joined the litigation team at Neumann van Rooyen Attorneys and started doing my articles in the Family Law department. During my articles I realised that helping families and children through tough times had become one of my biggest passions.

Today I’m a Lawyer in the litigation team, specializing in both Family and Criminal law. To be able to practice both of my passions is one of the main reasons I will always remain a small town girl.
