Unprecedented times with unprecedented blessings

We have all heard the complaints about Covid-19, the lockdown, school closure and offices closing for the duration of the lockdown. But have you stopped to consider how blessed you are to be alive and healthy.

As I’m sitting at the office, writing this Blog, I cannot help but get emotional. First and foremost I am grateful for the gift of life, health and love, and secondly I am thankful for the blessing of a job.

My heart aches for all the people who had to suffer retrenchments due to the Covid-19 pandemic and also those people who could not get paid because of the National Lockdown.

Today I want to plead with Employers to consider their statutory and humanitarian duties in these dreadful times. Instead of retrenching people and closing your business, opt for short time, shifts and if need be even demotion. Speak to your employees and assist where you can. I can assure you if you in effort from your side  be as accommodative as you can towards your employees, it will rub off on them. They won’t think twice to put in extra effort or to work a little bit harder because they know they have caring employers who does the absolute most for them.

Follow the example of our beloved directors at Neumann Van Rooyen Inc, the team is working harder than before, we are more driven and we could not have done it without the guidance of our directors.

If you need any guidance please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always willing to assist where needed.
