Reflections: Notes on my journey

As I reflect on my journey from childhood until now. I have come to a realization that everyone has a purpose in life. Some people are fortunate enough to find theirs, whilst others don't get a chance to discover it. I mean - we all do what we do for different reasons, some are driven by passion, while others are driven by other things.

I remember when I was in grade 9, I had to complete a career guidance test and the results I received were either law related, counselling and politics. Furthermore when I was in grade 11, I applied at the University of Free State and Potchefstroom and I chose both psychology and law. I got accepted at the faculty of law and not that of humanities.

My university days were the beginning of my career and little did I know that ten years later, I would still be doing what I love doing and that is helping people. I cannot explain the feeling that I get after I have assisted someone. It is the lending of an ear to my clients or assisting them with  their legal matters that seems to bring me so much joy.

Food for thought: "Your profession is what you were put on Earth to do with such passion and such intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling".
