CHAOS AND EXCITEMENT: THE LIFE OF A WORKING STUDENT

17 October 2019 813

From a very young age I was very competitive and extremely curious.

This caused me to try a lot of new things in life and also to fail in a lot of things in life, failing at anything was a bitter pill to swallow every time, but as I grew older I learned how to adapt to these circumstances and to use them as lessons for my next challenge.

With that being said, because of my curious spirit I was scared to commit myself to one particular career path, it was in 2016 that I decided to study law, work for a law firm and get some experience, and this is when I realized…

This is chaos, confusing, exciting and way out of my comfort zone, this triggered my curiosity and competitive side, and soon enough I fell in love with the complexity of our law system, all its components and how they fit in one another.

As a working student, working a 8 to 5 job as a candidate attorney, studying after hours and early mornings, sleeping 4 hours most nights and living off coffee, I still fail miserably at a lot of things, but every failed attempt is a stepping stone for the next attempt.

I enjoy the excitement in all the chaos, waking up early to study , drafting documents, meeting some interesting clients, running to court without a plan sometimes, winging some awkward situations, and when the clock strikes 12 o’clock, going to bed, just to wake up and do it all over again!

I am SO ready for this…
